Competing with MIT

After seeing what a jolly time the MIT students had at Taco Bell, I recalled my college days: those happy times when we'd make the 10 minute drive to Mt. Vernon, Ohio. So i googled image this location. This guy is the only image the search produced. He's happy too! i don't blame him. This Taco Bell has something few locations possess: a bar. not a alcohol or condiment bar but a bar at which customers can sit and watch people order their food or stare at the menu and comtemplate the next order.

Now, i know this picture doesn't capture the spontaneous moment of joy as did a photographer for MIT but -- well, i guess Kenyon can't compete with MIT on yet another level. However, truth be told, i'm returning to Gambier, Ohio in May for a reunion, and we will be spending the night after the reunion ends (officially) in mt. vernon at a motel next to the taco bell. pictures aplenty will flood this blog.

the only problem that we are going to face at this motel is actually crossing the street. that strip is so busy....but the adventurous crossing is worth it! and to top everything off, there is a mc'D's next door as well as various other fast food joints. the taco bell let's you bring in food from other joints so that you can enjoy your own taco bell with your friends...even if the friends are not eating taco bell.....but liz and i dont really have that problem. all of our friends are taco bell fans.

oh i know: we need a classy TB in the circle, right? no one wants to trek from dupont to the 14th street one because it's sorta dirty and they charge extra for beans and don't give you sauce, etc.

yeah, i'm constantly craving TB because of this blog...more so than usual. i guess that's the price one pays for committment. i commend those who read it for the daily temptations it might provoke.
